AOKP Milestone 6 For Samsung Galaxy Mini/Pop GT-S5570
AOKP, an acronym for Android Open Kang Project, is a growing custom rom distribution for many Android smartphones. The name AOKP evolved as a play of the word 'Kang' and 'AOSP (Android Open Source Project)', thus forming Android Open Kang Project. This project initially started for fun by Roman Brig back in November 2011 for his Nexus device, grew bigger and better and expanded to many devices. As per the statistics published by AOKP, now there are 50,000 device running AOKP and similar 120,000 devices running unofficial builds (aka KANG) form AOKP code-base. Thanks to a developer at xda forums named TheWhisp, this feature-rich and buttery-smooth ROM is now available for Samsung Galaxy Mini or Pop GT-S5570 smartphone users as well.

The features such as navigation bar, lockscreen widgets, customizations of Status bar elements like battery icon and style, notification toggles show/hide feature, theme engine, etc. makes this rom really awesome. The unavailability of these options in CM9 builds at this moment differentiate this with CM9 putting this in the lead. However, we still have much to see from the developers at cyanogenmod team as CM9 is still evolving. I'm sure it'll be awesome once all the features of CyanogenMod 7 are made available in CM9.You Might Also Want to Read :
